Behold… The Arctopus' last release was 2012's Horrorscension, and before that was an album in 2007. So it's not like the group is pushing out releases every other year, which makes sense given one of its guitarists is the ever busy Colin Marston (Gorguts, Crator, Krallice, etc.). Which is why Cognitive Emancipation is so special, and contains some damn good music to boot.
The release can be streamed below, and while it clocks in at about 20-ish minutes, don't call it an EP! The band's Bandcamp states "THIS IS NOT AN EP. time is eleastic. length is subjective. don't discriminate," and they'd know – they made it.
