At The Gates has been in the studio recording a new album recently and has finally wrapped up the process. Frontman Tomas Lindberg says the album will be mixed in January by Russ Russell, who has worked with Dimmu Borgir, Napalm Death, and Lock Up in the past. At The Gates also worked with Russell at Parlour Studios for the recording process as well.
This will be At The Gates' first album with guitarist Jonas Stålhammar of God Macabre & The Lurking Fear. Lindberg recently said the new album will be "heavier and more death metal than the last one," and compared the lyrics to the band's debut 1992 album The Red In The Sky Is Ours.
