I can't believe how excited I am for the Mortal Kombat movie that's being released this weekend in theaters and on HBO Max. When I first heard about it, it seemed like a joke, and to be fair, it still does, but it's a joke that I want to see (after a few bong rips, natch.)
The opening scene tells the story of Hanzo Hasashi, aka Scorpion, one of the most famous characters from the game. The character is played by legendary actor Hiroyuki Sanada. We also see an appearance from the equally famous Sub Zero, played by Joe Taslim.
