We've been writing a lot about Rob Zombie's upcoming (partially) crowdfunded movie, 31 and soon you will be able to see it.

Today, Saban Films announced it has acquired the rights to the film and will release it on September 16th. The film stars Malcolm McDowell, Sheri Moon Zombie, Meg Foster, Judy Geeson, Jeff Daniel Phillips, Jane Carr, Ginger Lynn, Daniel Roebuck, Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs, Pancho Moler, Tracy Walter, E.G. Daily, Torsten Voges, David Ury, Bari Suzuki, and Devin Sidell. The short synopsis of the film is described as:

Five carnival workers who are kidnapped the night before Halloween and held hostage in a large secret compound known as Murder World. Once there, they have 12 hours to survive a terrifying game called 31 in which “The Heads” – murderous maniacs dressed as clowns – are released to hunt them down and kill them.

MetalSucks reports the movie will be opening against a new Bridget Jones movie, Oliver Stone’s Edward Snowden biopic, a teen thriller from the makers of Cat Fish and an urban remake of The Hand That Rocks the Cradle, so it's a pretty good release week for the film, with no real competition in its market.

I'm sure we'll be hearing a lot more about the film in the coming weeks. Will you be seeing it in theaters? Or will you wait for the unrated version on home video, which Rob Zombie essentially said would be much better than the theatrical release?
