eHarmony's recent advertising campaign "Get Who Gets You" might not wanna cater to people who "get" folks still hanging on to Iced Earth and Jon Schaffer.
About three seconds into a newer advertisement (as pointed out by MetalSucks,) a woman puts on an Iced Earth shirt with a pretty faded logo, only to take one whiff and presumably take it off off-camera. It's a brief moment, but anyone even remotely familiar with Iced Earth would've picked it out.
And sure, I get the message behind why eHarmony would've used a metal shirt. Metalheads are generally viewed as a smaller, more isolated group and it's great that whoever's supposed to be into the music in the advertisement found love. Hooray!
Though commercial was posted eight months back, which means it was filmed probably sometime in either 2021 or 2022…. y'know, after Iced Earth's Jon Schaffer was a known insurrectionist (for which he'll be sentenced in February 2024). And even if it was filmed prior to January 6, 2021, someone probably should've said something, y'know?
