We've talked about metal and religion "joining forces" before when spotlighting a metal church in Colombia, but there are some fans of God here in the States that are trying to combine these two forces. According to the Corpus Christi Caller, local believer Jason Houlihan was in a Christian metal band, and when he was going to church, he would notice none of his young fans were there with him. So he decided to start a heavy metal service. "We go to a lot of Christian metal shows and we saw all these people who didn't go to church because they were judged," said Pallotti. Anyway, the whole thing makes me really uneasy, because I feel like metal is innately anti-religion. I'm not saying that you can't like metal AND be religious, but there is a separation.
