Mayhem Fest is exhausting! I went down with Frank and the Necrosexual to the Holmdel show yesterday and I'm still not fully recovered. My legs!!! I can't imagine how bands handle it for six weeks. I guess part of the fun is the afterparties. Case in point: this past weekend was Mayhem Fest prom, where everybody got dressed in their fanciest attire. Seeing as though it was Robb Flynn's birthday, he decided to dress up extra fancy… in women's clothing!
We heard multiple accounts of the evening, but we know that at one point Flynn burst into the Butcher Babies' dressing room and asked if he could borrow some makeup. Not only did they let him borrow makeup, they even helped Flynn apply it. What troopers! Here are some more photos.
Not to be outdone, Mayhem Fest promoter John Reese, who was also celebrating a birthday, managed to get into the spirit of drag as well:
