Tribute band Hairball from Minnesota is making headlines this week for nothing pertaining directly to their music. Hairball guitarist and vocalist Bobby Jensen, dressed as Kiss guitarist Paul Stanley, caught fire midway through a show to over 1,600 in Sioux City, IA and just kept playing.
Jensen told the Des Moines Register that he knew he was on fire, but figured running would only make it worse. He also adds that his guitar strap and all his clothes smell real bad now.
"I knew right away. I knew right away when the fire hit my back that I was on fire. I just knew stand there, keep playing. … I knew if I had ran, they had to chase a guy on fire."
