There's Converge, the hardcore band from Salem, Massachusetts, and then there's Converge ICT, an internet service provider in the Philippines. Apparently in recent times, Filipino users have been airing their grievances about Converge ICT on the Converge band Facebook page, confusing the band.
"Hey everyone… still just a hardcore band over here," said Converge the band. "Covid has not forced us to become an internet provider in the Philippines yet, but we hope everyone over there gets their internet access back. While you’re here though click the link to our webstore and grab yourself a cool T-shirt or something. ????."
The issue has become such a big thing (or it's just funny enough) that CNN Philippines has also posted about it on their own Facebook page.
Converge recently contributed a new track to the Cyberpunk 2077 soundtrack. Converge ICT hasn't done anything cool, as of this writing.
