BEHEMOTH's Nergal doesn't find Polish jokes funny

About a year ago I found an article in Vice where writer Chris Nieratko wrote about his favorite unpublished interview ever, where he interviewed our favorite Satan-worshiper, Nergal from Polish black metal band BEHEMOTH, with all the questions being setups for stereotypical Polish jokes, which seemingly went over Nergal's head. With the hipster publication celebrating it's 15th anniversary, said writer decided to publish the raw interview, and well, here take a look:

So you guys are really from Poland?

Where in Poland?
From the coast up north, a city called Danzig.

Danzig? Like Glen Danzig?

So did you hear about the Polish Admiral who wanted to be buried at sea when he died?
Which guy?

The Polish Admiral, he wanted to be buried at sea when he died.
No, never heard of him.

Well, five sailors died digging his grave.
All right. No. I never heard of him.

Did you hear about the one tragedy in Poland? In Poland’s largest shopping mall, there was a terrible power outage. People were stuck on the escalators for four hours.
I did not hear about this.

And, it goes on and on to the point where Nergal realizes something is up and just doesn't care anymore. Pretty weird stuff, click here if you want to read the rest.

But, if you want to see Nergal at his best, check out their incredible video for Ov Fire and the Void.
