We've been going to SXSW for many years and we had so much fun that last year, we decided to throw our own showcase. We had so much fun, we thought we'd bring it back for round two this year!

On Thursday, March 19th, the second annual Metal Injection SXSW showcase will take place. Headlining the gig, as you can see in the gorgeous poster above designed by Mike Wohlberg, will be Chicago's Veil of Maya. The band will be performing with their new vocalist, and they have a new album on the way, so it's safe to assume we'll be hearing some new material at this show.

Direct support comes from a duo of Canadian party animal bands: Cancer Bats and KEN Mode. Rounding out the killer lineup will be central Pennsylvania grinders Full Of Hell, mind-blowing shredder Felix Martin (back for the second year in a row after impressing us last year), German blackened death two-piece Mantar making their first U.S. appearance and perennial Metal Injection favorites Moon Tooth opening the show.

Join us at The Dirty Dog on Thursday March 19th at 7PM for the heaviest party at SXSW! The show is free if you have a SXSW badge or wristband. If you don't have SXSW credentials, there will be limited tickets on sale for the general public the day of show, so get there early!
