The metal and rock world was stunned with the sudden passing of former Megadeth drummer Nick Menza. Menza, who was 51, died doing what he loves, playing drums on stage.
TMZ got their hands on the autopsy and the results show there were no drugs involved with his death, but rather a massive heart attack due to having heart disease. TMZ reports that Menza has been sober for eight years.
According to fan reports, "It appeared to be a seizure but [Nick] stopped breathing,” the source said. “Two patrons took over and began CPR until EMS arrived. EMS worked on him for 25-plus minutes, including adrenaline shots, three shocks and non-stop compressions.”
Dave Mustaine is planning a benefit in Menza's honor and is planning on inviting all past Megadeth members/
