Hailing from Umeå, Sweden Winston-Salem, N.C. is Extinction Level Event, the all-bass metal band that will surprisingly not sound that strange to you. Before we jump into the music, consider this- an eight string guitar tuned with the lowest string being an F# (as they are) is literally one full step away from being the low E on a bass. Extinction Level Event just takes it one step further and goes with a whole bunch basses instead of two eight string guitars tuned that step down to E and a bass. Ballsy!

Alright seriously, if we didn't tell you this was three bass players instead of two guitarists tuned down and a bassist, how many of you would have picked up on it? Exactly. Outside that, the music is pretty good if not totally just American Meshuggah. Nothing crazy, but totally fun and probably worth seeing live!
