KHANATE, HAVE A NICE LIFE, PYGMY LUSH & More Added To Prepare The Ground 2025

Khanate and Kylesa is a hell of a combo.

Prepare The Ground 2025 festival will take place between May 30 and June 1 in downtown Toronto. The festival's lineup thus far as been Yob playing two separate sets including playing their seminal 2011 opus Atma, as well as a Kylesa reunion. Now we've got a whole slew of new artists added including the first Khanate show in North America in roughly 20 years. The full lineup of Prepare The Ground 2025 so far is:

  • Khanate
  • Kowloon Walled City
  • Kylesa (first North American reunion show)
  • Midwife
  • Pygmy Lush
  • The Rita
  • Steve Von Till
  • Yob (two sets including Atma performance)
  • Young Widows

"For the first time in 20 years the legendary drone/doom supergroup Khanate will step food on North American shores to drown us in sound on the heels of their 2024 Sacred Bones reunion album To Be Cruel," wrote Prepare The Ground organizers.

"The Flenser's own post-punk pioneers Have A Nice Life join Prepare the Ground for only their second show ever in Toronto as they tackle performing in the gorgeous, hallowed halls of Trinity St. Paul church. Both artists join the previously announced Yob (playing two sets including Atma in full), Kylesa (first North American reunion show), and the concurrently announced the Atlas Moth, Falls of Rauros, Steve Von Till, Pygmy Lush, Midwife & more.
