Who's Ready For More Info On Tuomas Holopainen's Scrooge McDuck Album?!

Back in June I wrote about an upcoming solo album from Nightwish's main song writer and keyboard player, Tuomas Holopainen, based on a graphic novel about the Disney character Scrooge McDuck. At the time there wasn't much information about the project album, but Nuclear Blast Records just posted an update including album art and a track listing on their website for anyone curious about this…interesting project.

According to Holopainen's website, The Life and Times if Scrooge McDuck  is set for release on April 11th via and you can already pre-order the album in a couple configurations through Mad Supply if you don't mind paying in euros. The music on the album is meant to be a soundtrack to the graphic novel of the same name and it's influenced by various composers and musicians including Michael Nyman and Enya. Additionally, the album features four lead vocalists, one of who is Tony Kakko of Sonata Arctica. Lastly, one of the coolest things about this project is the album art which was created by Don Rosa who wrote and illustrated the original graphic novel.

Below is the official track listing for the album and a bootleg video someone made for the first single from The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck titled "A Lifetime of Adventure." There's going to be an official video released at some point, but until then give the track a listen and tell us what you think in the comments. I keep trying to think of some cynical jokes to make, but I can't. Who doesn't like Scrooge McDuck?
