Perilaxe Occlusion will go down as one of the most unsung death metal bands of all time, and it's not because they didn't reach a larger audience – they just deserved way more.
That being said, Perilaxe Occlusion has just recently released their final compilation Vapor Chamber and you 100% need it. Vapor Chamber is both Perilaxe Occlusion EPs and two brand new songs, all smashed together into a 9-track steamroller of a compilation. Perilaxe Occlusion masterfully marries sludgy death metal with all the cavernous, crushing blasting of faster modern bands, topped off with the exact right amount of funeral doom atmospheres. Or the as the band defines themselves, "rasterized technical death-doom." And who doesn't need that in their lives?
