If you haven't downloaded Spotify yet, here is the perfect excuse. The streaming music service has this new feature where they ask artists to do a commentary track for each track off their album, and the latest person to provide his commentary is the never-short-of-words Dave Mustaine, and it's fan-tas-tic.
I would do a full recap of what Mustaine says, but I'll let you listen and discover for yourself. The above animated GIF is a good representation of what the commentary is like. Some amazing gems that stick out in my head:
Mustaine talking about how "we" need to work two jobs to survive nowadays, working a cubicle during the day and a gas station at night. Dave, when was the last time you worked in a cubicle?
Mustaine citing that one song is his take on Pantera, early heavier Pantera and grindcore. I wonder what grindcore bands Dave listens to.
How he refuses to call the Higgs Boson "the God particle" due to his beliefs.
These are just three of many amazing gems. What are you favorite parts of this commentary? For more on Super Collider, read our review we posted yesterday.
