Full disclosure: I loved Korn all the way up until college, then I discovered Slayer. It was a glorious time. The band lost me after Issues and then they just kept putting out sub-par material. I remember re-visiting some of their older stuff not too long ago, and deeming it still listenable. Although, I probably won't ever go out of my way to listen to Korn again, I have no problem with the band. If I were still into the band, I'd probably be really excited that Head is back in the band and I would love to watch footage of his return to the band. If such a person is you, you are in luck.
The past Wednesday, May 15th at the Rostraver Ice Garden in Belle Vernon, PA, Head rejoined Korn for a full set, the first time he's played a whole set with the band in eight years.
Korn started the show with the track that Guitar World named the top seven-string guitar song in all of heavy metal, "Blind." Here is their full set:
– “Blind“
– “Ball Tongue“
– “Twist“
– “Chi“
– “Falling Away from Me“
– “Narcissistic Cannibal“
– “Dead Bodies Everywhere“
– “Coming Undone“
– “Did My Time“
– “Shoots And Ladders” / “Somebody Someone“
– “Here To Stay“
– “Kill Mercy Within“
– “Helmet In The Bush“
– “No Place to Hide“
– “Need To“
– “Lies“
– “Another Brick In The Wall” (Pink Floyd cover)Encore:
– “4 U“
– “Get Up!“
– “Got The Life“
– “Freak On A Leash “
I appreciate that the band stuck to a primarily old-school set, as there are only a few songs in the set I don't recognize, but please stop playing that Pink Floyd cover, you guys ruined it!
