Children of Bodom drop some artwork, a name, and a track list. I can't help but be excited in at least some capacity.
Let's just get it out of the way right here and now; Children of Bodom haven't been proprietors of kickass music as of late. I'll go as far as to say that their last two albums were "pretty bad" and "offended my ears," but that'll happen with some artists. Now with their return on Halo of Blood, I'd say things look a little more promising just from the artwork. It's not a super try-hard-to-be-all-evil artwork like Blooddrunk was, and even kinda looks like the older artworks. Sweet! Here's what Nuclear Blast had to say about the record-
Children of Bodom recorded Halo Of Blood at Finland's Danger Johnny Studios (in a top secret, undisclosed location in Helsinki) with recording engineer Mikko Karmila, who worked on the Hatebreeder (1999), Follow the Reaper (2001), and Hate Crew Deathroll (2003) albums. Producer Peter Tägtgren (Immortal, Marduk, Amon Amarth) oversaw production on both vocals and keyboards. The album was mixed at Finland’s famed Finnvox Studios.
Track listing for COB’s Halo Of Blood is:
01 – Waste Of Skin
02 – Halo Of Blood
03 – Scream For Silence
04 – Transference
05 – Bodom Blue Moon (The Second Coming)
06 – The Days Are Numbered
07 – Dead Man's Hand On You
08 – Damage Beyond Repair
09 – All Twisted
10 – One Bottle and a Knee Deep
Well that sounds pretty cool. Also, don't forget to check out Children of Bodom when they play your city on the Rockstar Mayhem tour!
