Former Five Finger Death Punch guitarist Jason Hook is teasing a little more of his upcoming Hook project, and it sounds pretty heavy! Especially the second video – that solo is very Dimebag Darrell-esque. Hook also clarifies that the band will not be performing aboard the Shiprocked Cruise in 2023 as they're trying to wrap up their debut album.
"SNEAK PEEK," said Hook in his Instagram caption. "Here's a little taste of what's coming in 2023. Also, as I explained, HOOK will not be performing on [the upcoming Shiprocked Cruise] but I will still be there jamming with all my friends in the stowaways… see you on the boat."
Hook parted ways with Five Finger Death Punch in 2020, saying "I have had the pleasure of meeting so many of you in person. Thank you for the endless stories of how our music has touched your heart in some way! But the best part of being on tour the last 12 years, by far, has been playing my guitar and seeing the joy on your faces every night. I will miss that more than anything.
"As far the reason I'm leaving… well, there really isn't just one. I've been in bands my entire life and I feel like I've done all the good that I can here. It's time to pass the baton and move on to new challenges."
