Gojira guitarist Christian Andreu has left the band's tour with Deftones a little early to go be with his newborn son. Filling in for Andreu for the remainder of the tour is Aldrick Guadagnino of Klone, who Gojira points out both kicks ass and looks like Andreu. So you won't even notice a difference! In all seriousness though, congrats to Andreu and his new family. You can catch the Guadagnino version of Gojira at one of the dates below.

"Christian returned home to be present with his first newborn child and so Aldrick Guadagnino of Klone @kloneband stepped up to the plate and killed it! He will be with us until the end of this tour. Somehow we managed to find a French man that shreds the guitar and looks exactly like Christian!!! ? #gojira #klone #deftones #vowws #washington Also… massive shout out to our buddies of @vowwsband that couldn't make it today. Come back soon!!!"

Klone also issued their own statement, congratulating both Guadagnino for the position and Andreu on his new fatherhood!

"As some of you may have heard already, Aldrick's been asked to replace Gojira’s guitarist who became a father recently. Congratulations ChristianAldrick will perform 10 shows with Gojira, supporting Deftones in US and will be back to play our last 3 shows. This is a lifetime opportunity and there’s no word to express how happy and proud we all are. Bravo Aldrick, vive la France et vive la république."
