Vocalist Mike Patton rightfully put his mental health first and recently cancelled all upcoming Faith No More and Mr. Bungle tour dates. Patton stated that he doesn't feel like he could give fans what they deserve right now, and needs to take care of himself.
"Sorry to report that due to mental health reasons, I cannot continue with the currently scheduled Faith No More and Mr. Bungle dates," said Patton.
"I have issues that were exacerbated by the pandemic that are challenging me right now. I don't feel I can give what I should at this point and I am not going to give anything less than 100 percent. I am sorry to our fans and hope to make it up to you soon. The bands support me in this decision and we look forward to working through this in a healthy way."
Faith No More published a statement alongside Patton's showing their support, and now his Mr. Bungle bandmates are doing the same. Both Mr. Bungle drummer Dave Lombardo and guitarist Scott Ian took to social media to voice their love for the vocalist.
"My dear friend and brother in music, you have my complete support to do whatever you need to do for your mental health and over all well-being," said Lombardo. "Love, respect & support always"
"Hey Maestro, your health is all that matters. We’re here for you always my friend. Love ya more than the Crumbsuckers! Cheers, Scott," added Ian.
