Yesterday, Norwegian death-and-roll experts Kvelertak posted the attached photo to their Facebook page with the following message: "First day at Godcity with Kurt Ballou. All I can say is, this album is going to fuck the first album in the ass. Hard."
YEEEEEESSSS! Their debut self-titled album pleased my ears very much, so if they're saying their new album will fuck that album in the ass, well then, somebody get the lube. I also love that they have enlisted Converge guitarist and production master Kurt Ballou once more, as he is one of the top producers in the game at the moment.
It's safe to assume the band will wrap up recording before they, and Kurt (with his band Converge) head out on the road with Torche for their upcoming face-melting fall tour. Does this mean we could expect some new material on the tour? I wouldn't be upset if it doesn't, as these guys put on one of the most energetic shows in rock. We have plenty of footage to prove this point.
