Hype for new music from AC/DC is as real as can be. Yesterday, the band began to tease an announcement was coming. Now, advertisements popping up all across the world have led fans to figure out what the new album will be called.
It looks like the next AC/DC studio album will be called PWR UP or perhaps Power Up. A poster advertising AC/DC popped up right outside Angus Young's old high school, Ashfield Boys High School in Ashfield, Australia, near Syndey. The poster posits the question asking "ARE YOU READY SYD PWR UP"
The poster points to pwrup.acdc.com, which looks to be another tease. The only visible buttons on the page are "Store" and "Power Up," which leads to a newsletter subscription form. The background of the website also says PWR UP. Here's a screenshot.
Last week, some photos leaked of the reunited group shooting a music video. Surely, we'll be getting some new music very soon.
In 2018, drummer Phil Rudd and vocalist Brian Johnson were seen together at the studio where AC/DC previously recorded new music, leading fans to assume they would be contributing to the new work. News also surfaced recently that deceased rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young's tracks will be featured on the record. AC/DC were planning a world stadium tour with the reunited lineup, before the coronavirus pandemic hit causing cancellations all across the globe.
We'll keep you posted on any further teases.
