Megadeth bassist David Ellefson recently auctioned off his Rust in Peace for the David Ellefson Youth Music Foundation. The winner of the auction, a guy named Bill, lives pretty close to Ellefson. So Ellefson decided to forgo shipping and just hand-deliver the bass himself!
So So today, I was supposed to ship a bass to an Ebay buyer, and a big fan, who purchased my RUST IN PEACE 30th anniversary Jackson Guitars – Official! bass auctioned off for the David Ellefson Youth Music Foundation. Well upon realizing the buyer lived less than 2 hours away in Tucson, I decided to just drive down and deliver it by hand. Thank you Bill for your support of the DEYMF, and everyone else who has supported us
As for Megadeth, they're recording their new album right now.
