DEFTONES Keyboardist Says Band Might Do Something For White Pony Anniversary

"I’m sure we might do a few things here or there but I know we haven’t really talked about it."

Deftones-2016

Deftones' landmark album White Pony will celebrate its 20th birthday come June 20. Since its release 20 years ago, White Pony has achieved over 1,300,000 in sales in the United States, as well as Gold certifications in Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

In an interview with Forté, sampler and keyboardist Frank Delgado said he's sure the band "might do a few things here or there" to celebrate. Though they haven't really talked about it.

"I’m sure we might do a few things here or there but I know we haven’t really talked about, and I don’t think we’ve ever really done that either, but I think that record is really seminal for us that it might need the attention!"

Delgado also talks a little bit about the new Deftones record being wrapped up right now. He adds that the band has been working on the album for the past few years, and that "I think that’s coming in the real near future – I know it is."

“We’ve been pretty much working on that for the last couple of years and it’s basically done. I think we need to tie up a few things here and there to fix it but I think that’s coming in the real near future – I know it is.”

Deftones will hit the road this summer with Gojira and Poppy.
