A very rare Slipknot demo from 1995, their very first demo, has finally surfaced online. Loudwire found a 12-minute video of the songs was uploaded to YouTube yesterday, January 29th by the user "Black Heart."
The original video was taken down but at the time the caption read “This is the original demo which was given by Paul [Gray] to a close friend. After owning the demo for 20+ years, that friend sold the demo in 2018. Without Paul’s friend, aka Jubil Lee, chances are this demo would have never seen the light of day.”
This demo even precedes the infamous 1996 demo, Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat., and is before Corey Taylor even joined the band in 1997. The vocals are performed by Anders Colsefni. Some fan managed to snatch the video and mirror it on Dailymotion.
Overall, it's a fun look at what was the start of something massive.
Slipknot hope to officially release their outtakes from their 2008 album, All Hope Is Gone, titled Look Outside Your Window, sometime soon. The band of 9 are currently on tour in Europe with Behemoth. Here are their remaining dates:
