The Skull, the band featuring ex-Trouble vocalist Eric Wagner and bassist Ron Holzner, Sacred Dawn guitarist Lothar Keller, Witch Mountain guitarist Rob Wrong, and ex-Cathedral drummer Brian Dixon, will release their brand new album The Endless Road Turns Dark on September 7.

As I'd mentioned previously, The Skull is riff central station, and the new song "As The Sun Draws Near" that we're premiering today is no different. It rocks hard as hell and leaves you wanting nothing at the end. Here's what Holzner and Wagner had to say about the track.

"'As the Sun Draws Near' is the first song that Lothar Keller and I started writing for the new record and it is the last one we completed," says bassist Ron Holzner. "This song has gone through more hills and valleys than I have, ha!!"

"It's been a long walk through the darkness, and i'm tired," adds Wagner. "I think this song just might be about finally seeing daylight."

Pre-order the record here.
