Before Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell tragically past way last May, he was working on a few projects. One of these projects was an appearance in the film Johnny Cash: Forever Words, which was directed by Cash's son John Carter Cash. The film shows famous musicians putting the words of Johnny Cash's poems to music.

Cornell sang Cash's poem "You Never Knew My Mind." The entire album, Forever Words: The Music features famous artists singing Cash's legendary words. John Carter Cash revealed to radio host Zane Lowe that this song combines a track Johnny Cash wrote in 1967 entitled, “You Never Knew My Mind”, with another unreleased song, “I Never Knew Your Mind”.The song has been made available for streaming.

You Never Knew My Mind is due out on April 6. Here is the track listing:
