WOAH! I don't know how I missed this before the weekend, but Opeth will soon start recording another new studio album, their 10th. The band will enter Atlantis studios in Stockholm on January 31st to begin recording the follow-up to Watershed. Jens Borgen will be engineering and Steve Wilson of Porcupine Tree will handle mixing duties. The release is scheduled for sometime in the Fall but that could be pushed back.
This is just one of many upcoming releases in 2011 that have me incredibly excited in what next year has to offer. Between this, new releases from Converge, Pig Destroyer, Obscura, The Faceless and possibly Necrophagist, 2011 will be fantastic year!
