Well, it's official. After not doing so hot in the fan voting for being inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2018, Judas Priest has also not been selected by the Hall's regular voters. According to the Hall's rules, "the five top vote-getters in the fan vote are put on a single ballot, which counts no more than a ballot submitted by one of the Hall's 900 or so regular voters, consisting of artists, music historians and music industry insiders."
Instead, Bon Jovi, The Dire Straits, The Moody Blues, The Cars, and Nina Simone will all be inducted. The inductees will be welcomed into the hall on April 14 and an edited version of the ceremony will be aired on HBO alongside a radio broadcast on Sirus XM.
Judas Priest will release a new album in 2018 which will likely rule, whereas Bon Jovi will continue boring the faces off the masses yet somehow get more praise. Go figure.
