Judas Priest will be releasing a new album in the early part of 2017, according to legendary frontman Rob Halford.
In a recent interview with the Full Metal Jackie radio show, Halford said:
"Like always, it'll be ready when it's ready, but there was already an extraordinary amount of ideas collected throughout that tour. So I'm optimistic that we should have something ready by… probably not by the end of this year, but definitely by the early part of next year."
While this is awesome news, it does seem a little bit of odd timing as the group just released a new live album, entitled Battle Cry, and, like MetalSucks pointed out, Priest has only released one album since its last live album in 2009.
Why wouldn't you release another album and then go for the live album? Who knows, but whatever the case may be, new Priest is coming and that is all that matters.
