I saw the new Marvel movie Black Panther last weekend, a little later than most, and it was a really fun movie theater experience. It was the type of movie to definitely see with a crowd of people and told a really endearing story. It's easily near the top of all the Marvel cinematic universe films.
Of course with a big superhero movie, there will be merchandise. A friend of mine pointed out something pretty interesting about the latest JCPenny advertisement for their line of Black Panther gear. Take a look at the ad below and see if you notice what I'm talking about.
Even the most casual of metal fans would recognize that this is the same font as the most famous of Pantera logos. Clearly, there is a metalhead in the design studio for this Black Panther merch.
If you find yourself thinking "hmmm, I could wear this shirt," it's on sale for $11.99 at JCPenny's website.
Not to be outdone, Target is offering their own metal parody Black Panther shirt, a take on a classic Black Sabbath design. Their shirt is on sale for $12.99.
