Monday was not a happy day for SLIPKNOT's management team. Their big single, "All Hope Is Gone" was supposed to be released as a purchasable single on Friday via Amazon.com. Then, allegedy some French retailer leaked an advanced copy and links popped up everywhere causing Slipknot's team to go into overdrive with cease and desist removals all over the place. But the song spread. A simple Google search will show the song is clearly out there. So the band made a wise decision to offer the song (in presumably better quality then whats out there now) for FREE this Friday for one day only on Roadrunner's official site after which it will be available at digital retailers. Good move, I say! The song is great, its getting a great response and its out there already, so might as well just give it out.
The band also announced that the title of their fourth record will also be All Hope Is Gone and the CD is set for release on August 26, 2008.
