Oathbreaker should immediately catch your attention for two reasons – the music is varied and vocalist Caro Tanghe is unparalleled in the genre. Seriously, Oathbreaker writes some great blackgaze-type metal and the music stands alone on its own merits, but Tanghe just pushes the whole thing right over the top to a whole different level. Her vocals range from strained cleans to absolutely pissed off screams, and it works like a charm.
