Kostnatění is here to usher in the warmer weather with their new record Úpal (Slovak for "heatstroke"). Equal parts black metal and hallucinogenic ambient sections, this new Kostnatění is essential listening in 2023. "Anxiety, fixations, and hallucinations can appear without material basis, setting our overactive neurons on fire," reads Kostnatění's description of the album. "To bring this vivid scene to life, Kostnatění has become both more meditative and more chaotic, introducing influences from sources as varied as African folk and noise rock into its technical black metal basis.
