A new drum-tastic documentary by filmmaker Justin Kreutzmann is making its way to streaming services on October 28. You can catch the trailer for Let There Be Drums! just above right now. It features appearances from drumming royalty in the likes of Ringo Starr, Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Stephen Perkins (Jane's Addiction), Jay Lane (Primus), Steven Adler (Guns N' Roses), Tre Cool (Green Day), Jason Bonham, Stewart Copeland (The Police), Matt Sorum (Guns N' Roses, Velvet Revolver), Steve Ferrone (Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers), Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann (Grateful Dead), and the late Taylor Hawkins.
Director Justin Kreutzmann is the son of Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann. The film is said to be "a deep-dive into the art of drumming, the musicians who've mastered it for 70 years, and the legacies parents pass on to their kids," and features one of the last-ever interviews with Hawkins.
