Watch THE HU Killer Rendition Of IRON MAIDEN's Classic "The Trooper"

The most original cover of "The Trooper" we've heard in a long time

Mongolian rockers The Hu have just unveiled a fantastic cover of Iron Maiden’s 1983 hit “The Trooper”, and before you think you don't need to listen to any other rendition of that classic, do yourself a favor and check this one out.

The single comes just in time for their U.S. tour with Maiden, which kicks off today (October 4) in San Diego, California, and wraps up on November 17 in San Antonio, Texas.

The Hu are thrilled to be on Iron Maiden’s Future Past Tour in North America,” says Gala, founding member, lead throat singer, and morin khuur (horse head violin) player. “For us, this tour represents an important milestone for the Mongolian music industry and a historical step towards the world stage. As a special thank you, and out of huge respect as fans of the band, we covered their legendary song The Trooper, and are happy to be sharing that with you ahead of this tour!”

Along with their tour dates supporting Iron Maiden, The Hu are also headlining six of their own shows, featuring support from Atlanta theatrical rockers The Funeral Portrait.

This isn’t the first time The Hu have taken on a classic from one of metal’s greats. In 2020, they released a Mongolian-language cover of Metallica’s “Sad But True”, and James Hetfield’s lyrics never sounded heavier than on that one.
