Thy Art Is Murder's 2017 record Dear Desolation was one of my favorite records of that year, and Human Target might be on my 2019 year-end list if this quality keeps up. The band's title track is flattening riffs, unsettling choirs, big ol' sludgy sections, and more misanthropy than you can handle.
Human Target is out July 26. The record was produced, engineered, mixed and mastered by Will Putney (Fit For An Autopsy) at Graphic Nature Audio in Belleville, NJ, and was given artwork by Eliran Kantor (Sigh, Hate Eternal, Bloodbath, etc.). Pre-orders are available here.
