Slow Down With ULTRA MAJOR's New Song "Disaster"

Simplicity is key on this one.

If you're looking for a song that utilizes a stripped-down rock approach to the best of its capabilities, then look no further than the new Ultra Major single "Disaster". We're premiere the single today alongside a video that drummer Eric Michael Pearson said "feels like we're catching the band mid-set after just the right number of beers."

"For me the line ‘disaster, what I’m after’ speaks to understanding your own addiction. Depression, drugs and sex were the prominent themes around conversations with a close friend at the time. I didn’t want to be overt with the visuals but did want the mood to play into it.

"We shot the band with a red/orange glow and used small amber colored mirrors to create the reflections. Blue for the male character; depression due to continuous drug use. Green/female/envy. Both characters are often shot behind a thin plastic sheet which offers little protection and boundary from the viewer. These people know they’re addicted but are more comfortable with their lesser selves."
