Mortician had a bit of a problem at their recent Cleveland show – bassist and vocalist Will Rahmer's flight was cancelled, leaving Mortician with only a guitarist and drummer.
Fortunately Sanguisugabogg vocalist Devin Swank and drummer-turned-bassist Cody Davidson stepped in to complete Mortician's lineup, and man did they crush it. Fan-filmed footage is available above and below. It's insanely impressive, especially considering that none of this was planned in advance.
"So last night at the Mortician show at No Class in Cleveland we got the news that Will Rahmer's flight was delayed and later canceled due to weather.
"[Drummer Cody Davidson and vocalist Devin Swank] of our band was asked by [Mortician guitarist] Roger Beaujard if they could step up and fill in last minute! And because the show must go on the show WILL go on and they played the entire set along with Sam as Mortician for this one night!
"This was a once in a lifetime thing and it was nothing short of an absolute honor! Also we got to coincidentally meet Jerry F'N Lynn who just happened to walk in the show being at an event in downtown Cleveland that night."
