Paleface Swiss is back with a new single "My Blood On Your Hands" and a new record Cursed due out January 3. Cursed has a pretty interesting concept behind it, in that each track is represented by a different flower featured on its artwork. "My Blood Your Hands" is represented by the butterfly weed, a flower, which in Victorian Flower language, symbolises rejection and bears the message "let me go."
"Have you ever been lying in bed, unable to fall asleep because you're haunted by the same problems you're too afraid to confront?" said Paleface Swiss frontman Marc "Zelli" Zellweger. "You replay different scenarios in your mind, but just as you're about to reach a resolution, you find yourself back at the beginning. It keeps spiralling, growing worse and worse until you reach a point where you think, 'It would be easier to die than to face this pain.' The next morning, everything seems mostly fine—until night comes again. That's what this song is about.”
In addition to the new single, Paleface Swiss is running a Wonka-esque contest where they've hidden a one-of-a-kind Golden Ticket in a Cursed special box set. Starting November 11, fans who pre-order the box set on the official website will have a chance to find the golden ticket. The ticket will grant the winner and a guest an unforgettable experience at the band's album release show in their home-town of Zurich.
Pre-orders are available here, but remember – the ticket thing starts on November 11. So don't blame me if you screw this up.
