We've known that Mutoid Man—featuring members of Converge, Cave In and High on Fire—was working on new music recently, with the band even playing new song "Call of the Void" live, and now we know when the first single comes out: right now. This morning, Mutoid Man released a studio version of "Call of the Void"—their first studio output with new bassist Jeff Matz—and confirmed that their new album, Mutants, is slated for a July 28 release on Sargent House.
"Call of the Void" is the first studio output we've heard from Mutoid Man since 2017's War Moans, which was also released on Sargent House. The video features the band members performing live while dressed up as some type of cyborgs, which really underscores how much fun Mutoid Man have with the whole thing.
