Gorgatron will release their new record Sentience Revoked on June 21, and is now streaming the puke-worthy new single and music video "Blatant De-Evolution". Seriously though, if you have a weak stomach, I suggest maybe jamming this one on Bandcamp.
"I don’t know much about science, but I believe humans have started to move backwards as a species" said Gorgatron vocalist Karl Schmidt. "I truly believe that humanity is doomed if people collectively continue to neglect positive introspection. The music written for this tune is so undeniably crushing that I had to write lyrics that were equally demoralizing and depressing."
"Embracing our DIY video ethos, we teamed up with our close friends at Brutal Films LLC, with whom we've collaborated on numerous video projects," added Gorgatron bassist and vocalist Cameron Dewald. "With their help, we interpreted my vision of a mini-horror movie. Our aim was to subvert common horror tropes, a treat for any horror aficionado.
"Welcoming friends from across the Midwest to join the cast, we delved into a three-day shoot at a mold-ridden abandoned schoolhouse. With 10 gallons of fake blood, 30 pounds of gore, a few live rounds of buckshot and the demise of a chainsaw, we brought this twisted vision to life. Heartfelt thanks to Ari, Shaun, Charley, Tony, Kyle, Elizabeth, Eric, and Chris for their invaluable contributions in bringing this unconventional concept to fruition."
