CODE ORANGE Streams Their Chillest Song Yet, "Mirror"

"Mirror" is fronted entirely by guitarist Reba Meyers.

Code Orange is back with a new single called "Mirror" and I'm not sure this is even the same band that put out Underneath.

"Mirror" is fronted entirely by guitarist Reba Meyers and showcases a much sunnier, way more relaxed version of Code Orange. None of this is a criticism, by the way – "Mirror" is clearly Code Orange trying to grow beyond their usually aggressive sound into something more expansive. The video for "Mirror" was directed and created by Code Orange's visual/audio collective NOWHERE2RUN.

"This song has a special place in my heart," said Myers. "To me, it's the climax of this style of my writing in this band thus far. Take a look in the mirror, are you bored?"

"Mirror is NOWHERE2RUN's first foray into full music video production from conception all the way to the final edit," added frontman Jami Morgan. "It's fitting that we took on a song that is dynamically disparate from anything Code Orange has ever done. It's a little softer, a little more lush, and led by a powerful performance from Reba. It's another important piece of the puzzle that is The Above."

Code Orange will release their new album The Above on September 29. Pre-orders are available here.
