It's crazy to think that it's been six years since Pig Destroyer released their most recent full-length, the excellent Book Burner. Well, the band have been in the lab working out the loudest, gnarliest riffs with the most fucked up lyrics imaginable and are finally ready to present their discoveries.
The band updated their social media to reveal a new album is coming in September.
As the above image shows, the album will be called Head Cage.
While the band's label hasn't officially revealed any details, I have gotten an advance listen of the record and it is everything you want out of Pig Destroyer's music. It's twelve tracks with a running time of 31:01. The closing track is over seven minutes long, whereas most of the tracks are around two minutes in length. That's all I'm going to say out of fear that Scott Hull shows up to my door and murders me.
But plenty more will be revealed in the coming weeks, so it's time to get excited. New Pig Destroyer is going to be awesome!
