IHSAHN's New Album Will Be Sung In All Norwegian, Will Be Very Black Metal
Ihsahn and drummer Tobias Ørnes Andersen (Shining, ex-Leprous) made it known back in March that they were in the studio tracking a new album. Now Ihsahn has revealed that not only he'll be debuting the new material for the first time live at Inferno 2020, but he also talks a little bit about the coming record. Ihsahn says the record will be sung entirely in Norwegian and will be a very stripped down form of black metal.
Ihsahn also hints at some pretty interesting live shows surrounding the record, though he doesn't elaborate any further. So stay tuned on what those shows will shape up to be!
"The music I’m working on distills the most basic, black metal aesthetics of my music. Keeping to rather traditional arrangements and expressed with Norwegian lyrics, I explore the core elements of my musical background. These new songs will form the basis for some conceptualized shows, which I shall debut at Inferno in 2020."
No word yet on what the album is called or when it'll be out.
