This week's new heavy metal releases includes your favorite groovy Germans, oodles of evil, and more!

To the metals…

Full Of Hell – Weeping Choir THE WEEKLY INJECTION: New Releases From RAMMSTEIN, VALE OF PNATH, and More Out Today – 5/17

Genre: Grindcore/Death Metal
Origin: Ocean City, Maryland
Label: Relapse

Full of Hell are a band known for well executed and purposefully unpleasant metal. Weeping Choir is a more dynamic showcase from the band as they explore more tempos and bend the their fans' expectations. Don't worry, it's still very unpleasant, but it's unpleasant in more ways.

Genetics – CynosureTHE WEEKLY INJECTION: New Releases From RAMMSTEIN, VALE OF PNATH, and More Out Today – 5/17

Genre: Progressive instrumental
Origin: Sydney, Australia
Label: Self-released

An instrumental band always has to do a little extra to hold the attention of a regular listener. Whether it be extra technical musicianship, hypothesizing rhythms, or atypical musical instrument inclusion. Well, on top of technical musicianship Genetics weave in spoken word moments from prominent scientists like Neil Degrasse Tyson, and doing so tells a story of sorts about life, space, and science. It's awesome nerdy shit.

Glassing – Spotted HorseTHE WEEKLY INJECTION: New Releases From RAMMSTEIN, VALE OF PNATH, and More Out Today – 5/17

Genre: Atmospheric black metal/experimental
Origin: Austin, Texas
Label: Brutal Panda Record

Atmospheric black metal bands have become a dime a dozen, so it's cool when a band does a cool twist on the subgenre. Glassing inject something almost like mathcore into the sound and it winds up feeling like a wildly different experience. You wind up with the atmosphere of Alcest but the dissonance of The Dillinger Escape Plan.

Necrosexual – The Gory Hole Overture In F#THE WEEKLY INJECTION: New Releases From RAMMSTEIN, VALE OF PNATH, and More Out Today – 5/17

Genre: Black metal
Origin: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Label: Self-released

Metal takes itself too seriously, so someone like Necrosexual is so refreshing. This EP is pretty solid blend of old school style death metal and black metal, with some tongue in cheek elements. Humorous as he may be, Necro also has chops.

Rammstein – Untitled THE WEEKLY INJECTION: New Releases From RAMMSTEIN, VALE OF PNATH, and More Out Today – 5/17

Genre: Industrial
Origin: Berlin, Germany
Label: Universal

I feel like I don't really need to say anything. This is a new Rammstein album. If you like Rammstein, you'll like this. If nothing else, this gives them reason to tour, which is where the money is at with the band.

Vale Of Pnath – Accursed EP THE WEEKLY INJECTION: New Releases From RAMMSTEIN, VALE OF PNATH, and More Out Today – 5/17

Genre: Technical Death Metal
Origin: Denver, Colorado
Label: Willowtip

VoP have returned with their first batch of new music since 2016's II and after so many line-up changes. People seemed to have left and returned between this and their last album. Anyway, hats off to whomever is playing on this evil sounding batch of seven tracks. It's a fun, but all to quick, listening experience.
