Dream Theater guitarist John Petrucci recently announced his first new solo album in 15 years titled Terminal Velocity. Now Petrucci has revealed the lineup for the album, which is major news for exactly one reason – founding Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy.
Portnoy left Dream Theater in 2010 and has not made any music with his ex-bandmates since. Though maybe Portnoy was hinting at this reunion back in January when he said he'd love to reunite with Petrucci to make some new music. Portnoy may also reunite with Dream Theater keyboardist Jordan Rudess (and Petrucci again) if Liquid Tension Experiment gets back together.
