Disturbed released Asylum in 2010, and then a b-sides compilation in 2011 before going on hiatus. The band then released Immortalized in 2015, which ended up putting the band back on top with its Simon & Garfunkel cover of "The Sound Of Silence."
While we certainly can't expect a new record in 2017, guitarist Dan Donegan says he's hoping for the band to hit the studio later this year or early next year for a new album.
“I definitely don’t anticipate us taking a long break. But there might be a little bit of time — it won’t be nothing like a four-year hiatus. I think hopefully by at least, if not this year, by early next year, hopefully, we’ll be in the studio again.”
So now the real question here is if Disturbed's next big hit will be an original track, or another cover? Maybe both? The one definite benefit here is that fans won't have to wait another six years between albums.
